COMMUNITY WORKSHOP on EMERGENCIES

Auslan interpreters provided

WHO: ALL DEAF COMMUNITY MEMBERS in Blue Mountains/Hawkesbury areas WELCOME, including:

  • AUSLAN INTERPRETERS, DEAF, HARD OF HEARING, DEAF-BLIND, and CODAs living in the BM/Hawkesbury areas;
  • OR if you live outside the area but regularly go bushwalking or camping;
  • OR you are thinking about becoming involved with emergency services.

WHAT WILL WORKSHOP COVER:

  • What each Emergency Services do and ask any questions;
  • Learn more about different kinds of emergencies/disasters and how to keep yourself & your family safe;
  • Alerts, apps & social media that can help keep you informed; and
  • What to do with animals or pets during an emergency.
