Blue Mountains Housing Study 2019
What is the BM Housing Study:
Council is conducting questionnaires, Focus Groups, Interviews and Case Studies on the subject of Housing in the Blue Mountains. Council is interested in understanding the Housing experiences and aspirations of residents living in the Blue Mountains and what sort of community they would like to see in the future.
Why?
Housing is a major theme in a number of Council’s plans and strategies. Council would like to better understand the experiences of our residents so that we can make informed decisions and advocate with other levels of government on housing.
The Findings from the BM Housing Study will be for 2 immediate purposes:
- Gather information for the Local Housing Strategy. This will be the guiding document for how the future housing needs of the Blue Mountains community will be met
- Overall Community Development purposes
How?
- Focus Groups:
Focus Groups will be occurring from the 27th February – end of March throughout the Blue Mountains.
