Priority Vaccination for Authorised Workers in Penrith LGA

Authorised workers contracted by the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) are now eligible for priority vaccination against COVID-19 if they live in one of the current Local Government Areas (LGAs) of concern.

Authorised workers include staff who work for Non-government organisations contracteed by DCJ to deliver services in:

• child protection, including out-of-home care and child and family services
• homelessness and housing services, including community housing providers
• disability services

Early childhood and disability support workers living or working in local government areas of concern must have a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by 30 August.  

As at 21 August 2021, the LGAs of concern are:

  • Bayside 
  • Blacktown
  • Burwood 
  • Campbelltown
  • Canterbury-Bankstown
  • Cumberland
  • Fairfield
  • Georges River
  • Liverpool
  • Parramatta
  • PENRITH
  • Strathfield

You must book 2 doses of the vaccine with the same clinic when you make your booking.

Authorised workers aged 16 to 39 are eiigible for the Pfizer vaccine, and those aged 18 or over are eligible for the AstraZenica vaccine.
